• In this episode of our true crime podcast you’ll hear serial killer Hadden Clark describe how and why he murdered Laura Houghteling.  Laura’s mom Penny Houghteling had hired Hadden to do yard work and odd jobs around the house. He became very close to her and actually fantasized about her being his mother. 
• When Laura graduated from Harvard and moved home she didn’t like or trust Hadden.  During this time Hadden became increasingly jealous of Laura’s close relationship with her mother.
•  A necklace went missing and Laura blamed Hadden for it so Penny fired him. Penny was going out of town for business so Hadden Clark “The Beast” took over and used this opportunity to get even. 
•  Hadden admits to psychologically torturing Laura for over three hours in her room before he suffocated her. The suspense builds as Clark describes being dressed in Laura’s clothes and wearing a wig while messing with her mind. 
• This proved to be a method that he used many times over the years and he would morbidly call it “Bible Study”. Clark would  actually dress in their clothes and make the victim swear on a bible that he was her and she was him. 
• Over and over in this thriller podcast season “Bible Study” will be described by Hadden as his way to torture his victims before he killed them.
