It has felt like political purgatory this week, an in-between time after the election and before the new Progressive Conservative government is to be sworn in June 29. On the podcast, we discuss the first acts of the premier-designate and his team, scrapping the Climate Change Action Plan and ordering a hiring freeze and cost-cutting in the civil service. We also talk to the interim leader of a party in limbo — MPP-elect John Fraser is now leading the Ontario Liberal Party as it atones for the sins that voters have punished it for. And we chat to a handful of the new MPPs-elect about their hopes, dreams and post-apocalyptic sci-fi, as they wait to be sworn in next week.
