The sport of competitive shooting has grown exponentially over recent years. With so many incredible programs that help make it accessable to many more of our youth than in the past. Rick Hemingway at Backwoods Quail Club knows just how important this sport is and his venue has hosted the pinnacle of sporting clays contests, as it hosted the U.S. Open last summer. This weekend he is hosting the Junior U.S. Open and our state is represented well, by many of our local shooting teams. These include Feathern Young Guns, Richard Wrenn Academy, and many more. We had the honor of sitting down with several of these young men and women as well as some of their coaches. Rick Hemingway even took some time out to chat with us along with Featherhorn Farms owner, Jimmy Lee. Jimmy hosted us back in the winter for a podcast and an incredible duck hunt at his beautiful place. Richard Wrenn coach and owner of HeyBo Outdoors clothing line, Scott Clyburn joined us to talk about the importance of this sport and getting these young men an women involved. I can tell you that this is a bunch of competitive shooters and the public is welcome to come out to Backwoods and watch these athletes compete. Enjoy!!!
