Emily Carney, Tom Hill and I decided to get together to chat about two recent movies on the US early manned spaceflight program—the motion picture First Man, based on the James Hansen book of the same name, and the documentary, Apollo 11, featuring previously unviewed 70mm film from July 1969. Both have been the subject of wide-ranging commentary by lay public and space enthusiasts alike, so we thought—hey? Why not join the fray? As Tom Hill commented to me, “I hope we don’t sound too nerdy.” We’ll let our listeners decide.
