Our Father in heaven, you are the most wonderful and amazing God! Your Word encourages us to be thankful in all circumstances (1 Thess.5:18).
Thank you for your great love and compassion - they are immeasurable and unfathomable. Thank you for your bountiful blessings that never runs out! Even when we stumble and collapse under the weight of life’s pressures and fail you many times by our lack of faith – yet you did not abandon us, but always remain faithful to your promises to us. Truly, you are worthy to be praised!
Please forgive us for those times when we let familiarity breeds contempt and take your grace and love for granted. Forgive us for feeling entitled when we ought to be humbled by your unconditional love – knowing well that we are so undeserving.
Despite our unworthiness, you have graciously extended your mercy & forgiveness to us through Your Son Jesus Christ, who is your most wonderful gift to us.
God of all creation. You made us in your image and gave us the capacity to know you and to love you. Thank you for providing for all our needs even before we ask. You have promised us if we seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, all that we need will be given to us (Mat.6:33).
Most gracious & loving God, you have called us to cast all our cares and concerns to you because you care about us (1Pet.5:7). We bring before you the elderly & frail, and all who are stricken with sickness of every kind, and those who are feeling stressed and overwhelmed by the pressures of this life. During such a time, may we hear again the words of your Son who said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest…” (Mt.11:28). Whatever our struggles in life, we know that you are always with us, and you have your perfect will in every situation. We thank you that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We thank you for the assurance of your all-surpassing peace & your abiding presence!
We remember those who have yet to believe and know the salvation that you have freely offered in Christ Jesus. Your Word says that none of them can come to you unless you draw them. Make them stop resisting you. Remove the scales & blinders from their eyes. Pour out your Spirit upon them to bring about the conviction of sins and the forgiveness of sins.
Be our refuge and strength today and every day. Help us live above our circumstances and trust you despite our inability to fully understand. Grant us your strength and wisdom as we face the world each week, always be led by your Holy Spirit to live and to walk in holiness and in righteousness. We ask and pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
