He ruled Congo, Brazzaville for over 30 years, the most populous officially Francophone country in the world, his politics according to him was neither left, right or center, his allies were all over the planet.
Recent polls in Congo Dr shows at least 30% of the population still routing for him, this are mostly due to tribal, religion and ethnic affinity.
