Michelle Black is the Gold Star Spouse who lost her Green Beret husband in the 2017 Niger Ambush.  She's on a mission to create a non-profit called "Soldiers Alliance", to advocate for Gold Star Families and active military service members alike.  Their main goal is to pass legislation (helping update old regulations) that creates more accountability and transparency in military investigations.  She's also written a book chronicling her journey called "Sacrifice: The Green Berets, A Fateful Ambush, and a Gold Star Widow's Fight for the Truth".
