Spies were caught, and the wheels of justice turned. Julius and Ethel were found guilty and sentenced to death, and fears rose about what our once ally might do with nuclear weapons. But had justice actually been served? Some testimony given was kept under wraps, some of the players escaped the highest penalties. Maybe this is how it had to be, maybe favorites were played for a quick decisive win. We may never know the complete truth, even today with a fallen USSR and testimony released more than 50 years later.
