It was such a joy to have this conversation with Jo Franks. Jo has a story like so many- raised in the church saying the salvation prayer every other day, baptized three times, and yet it felt like nothing ever changed which left her confused and tired of cleaning herself up to be good enough for God. This led her to times of rebellion and wrestling, until the Holy Spirit in His unchanging long-suffering revealed to Jo that it was not her job to invite Jesus into her heart but instead for God to take her heart of stone and give her a new heart of flesh. She did not have to come with her goodness because she did not have any, but instead with the righteousness of Christ which is hers by faith! And her story does not end there!
