In our most recent original vs. sequel pairing, we have a couple of movies that many of you know very well and are part of one of the biggest franchises in history: Batman. This week we take a look at the Christopher Nolan reboot Batman Begins and it’s revolutionary sequel The Dark Knight. 

Nate gets to defend the start of the reboot series with Batman Begins. And opposing him will be Steve arguing on The Dark Knight and it’s merits. Will the “hero’s journey” structure of Batman Begins give that movie the victory this week? Or will the career defining performance by Heath Ledger of one of the most iconic villains in history give the edge to the sequel?
