Alongside her role as Vice-Chancellor, Professor Higham continues clinical practice as a consultant gynaecologist which influenced her research interests in reproductive medicine and medical education innovation. Jane and Jenny discuss their experiences overcoming obstacles in their academic careers, including facing low expectations and lack of support. They highlight the importance of mentorship, self-belief, and taking opportunities to navigate their respective fields.
