Welcome to season 40 of the longest running live football show in Australia and who knows, maybe the world?! We are on air from February through to the end of November every year.
Penny Tanner Hoath, and Murray Stevens lead you through two hours of football. The World Cup finishes with Spain showing us that conceding one single goal in the lead up to the Final was no coincidence and that Spain as a country appear to be doing a lot of things right in their football ecosystem. Renee Z, Peel United Soccer Club Director of Football Operations. It’s been a year of firsts for this growing club in the Peel region, and the year isn’t over yet! Renee talks with us about football in the Peel region, factors that challenge the club and what successes they’ve had.
David Basheer, SBS World Cup correspondent. It’s been the longest and biggest of all World Cups. We see some legends exiting international stage, some amazing entertainment and some crazy introductions. Has it worked? Did we see the football we expected to see and that the world should be seeing as the number 1 sport in the world. Who starred and who didn’t. What can we do differently next time?
