David & Jess started the Cardinal in September 2021. The Doylestown Borough locals met in Delray Florida as yogis and decided to plant their feet in Bucks County.

In this episode, they not only discuss the genesis of the magazine, but also discovering their love for this area.

Both David and Jessica have family in and around PA and NY. After visiting here, Doylestown was the only place to go for them! It felt like home after an only-in-doylestown turn of events (which you will hear in this episode, involves Harvey Ave, a Subaru Forester, and a perfect fall day...).

They decided alongside their partner Jeff at the Jim Thorpe-based, The Current, that Doylestown was missing that “sweet local newspaper”. And so, they created it themselves.

We also dive into the power of communication (go figure!), parenting, and more about their lives outside the Cardinal.

Fun fact: Did you know the Bucks County Bird is the cardinal?
