Updating is normally a good plan – however you need to be aware that things can break with updates

Make sure you have time set aside “just in case”

I had a few issues that needed fixing and it took a whole day to do so

Add website monitors to both front end and back end so you know immediately when things break

Check your sites on a regular basis – make sure forms and links are working

Being Self Critical of your own work

Fine details make the difference and take the longest

Consistency makes a great design

Your standards should always be setting the bar higher

Older work will soon look “not good enough”

Look at your work and sometimes you have to say “Is it good enough”

It’s not always good to take this attitude, but sometimes it saves a lot of time and wasted effort
