All the martyrs throughout history loved God and His Church more than their own lives. By giving their own lives, they imitated Christ as He gave His life for us.

We should die to ourselves – a dying to our free will that leads us to sin. By giving our will and fighting against our passions, we save our souls.

Secondly, there are so many ways of being distracted from our faith these days. Distraction comes in many forms, including focusing too much on what’s wrong in the world when we should be focusing on learning Catholicism and how to be better Catholics.

Let us reject distractions and learn the Faith instead.
