New Season – Season 6 started last week
New colour – Yellow, for this season.
All graphics for the podcasts, vidcasts and website have been updated with the new colour
Manage Your Focus – creating tasks that need to be done
Getting work, writing a project list, create the tasks and then do them
Context switching – and cutting it down as much as possible
Book – How To Be a Productivity Ninja – https://www.amazon.co.uk/How-Productivity-Ninja-2019-UPDATED/dp/1785784617/
Wear one “hat” at a time – working in sprints
Breaking big tasks down into smaller ones
Describe what “success” looks like for that task / ticket
No need to think about what is next as you just work through a pre-created list
75 Day Challenge completed
Eating the number of calories was the hardest thing to do
The weather is very cold – lots of illness around
We had snow and ice
Panto opens tomorrow
Busy week with rehearsals and then straight into performances
Why do I do Panto? It’s not paid and it takes up a great deal of time.
Two reasons – I really enjoy it, especially when you have a good part like the dame and working with a big group of people, collaborating and creating a show with other like minded people
And the other reason is that I can hone my theatre skills, whether that be lighting, sound, costumes, and stage craft. It is so difficult to learn these things any way other than doing
I also elevate my reputation for performing – my ad is on the back of the programme which may lead to work in the future.
Take away tip – join your local amateur dramatics club – it boosts confidence and creativity within each person.
Wish me a “break a leg” – come see the show if you are local to Croydon and watch / listen to this before the 18th January – https://www.sdclub.org.uk
