Kasamahan Co

Season 6 Episode 9 - Jefferson Peralta

Listen Later

Grit, Resilient, and empathetic, Jeff was a second generation Filipino immigrant born and raised in Ewa Beach, HI. Now in Portland, OR seeking undergrad in Marketing at the University of Portland. I didn’t really think about my Filipino identity in high school until I started going to college. Transferring from the island to the mainland I had a sort of being home sick and cultural shock of the new environment around me. From the new changes within me as a person I didn’t feel like my true self. He didn’t start understanding my Filipino identity until I joined FASA (Filipino American Student Alliance) which allowed me to go back to my filipino roots and learn more about my identity in the Philippines. Now, I am the Marketing Manager for FASA SA UP. On the side, I really love exploring new places with my friends, going to the beach and making tik toks.
