"Growing up, I never felt like I learned much about filipino culture. 

Nowadays, I am more interested in learning, so I have been understanding it through being in online communities and filipino pop music.

 I also am reading more and more articles on filipino news sites, so I keep up with current events. 

From what I’ve learned in terms of identity, Filipinos are a really vibrant bunch of people.

 They are friendly, honest, outgoing, and very familial. A lot of filipinos work hard, and 

I learned that through my family, who work tirelessly to support their household."
