In this episode I explain why all the souls Voldemort has destroyed influenced his life and killed him in the end. Enjoy!
Summary: It is no secret that Voldemort has killed a lot of people. The real secret is that the people Voldemort killed didn't stay that way. They didn't wake up like zombies with a hunger for brains, but their souls affected Voldemort even after their death. The first part of this theory is the souls' survival. I think when Voldemort killed someone, their soul split and found the closest life form, Voldemort. There are only two people who have survived the killing curse. Harry Potter, of course but also Voldemort. It's an oddly frequently overlooked fact, but Voldemort's own killing curse rebounded off of Harry and hit him instead. What happened to Voldemort? His soul shattered and found Harry's body to survive. If that is the case with everyone Voldemort has ever killed, he has dozens, maybe even hundreds, of souls inside of him. That could also affect his wand choice, which is the second part of this theory. The wand chooses the wizard. That is a common fact. The wand looks into your soul to see if it is the right wand for you. If the soul fits, the wand will become theirs. If the wand looks into the soul, what happened to Voldemort? His soul is changing all the time, so would his wand, too? I think so. Because Voldemort was always on the hunt for more power, he would have swapped wands many times.  He is getting new souls all the time. When the wand he has gets too weak, he swaps. But with the added souls, Voldemort's 'perfect' wand will be forever changing. And now for the last part of this theory. How and why did all the souls inside of Voldemort kill him. Voldemort's downfall came when his wand was stripped from him and he fell into pieces. Literally. Why? Maybe the filmmakers wanted something exciting. There is an explainable solution however. If we revisit the scene in The Goblet of Fire, where Harry and Voldemort are battling in the graveyard, they lock spells and a golden dome appears. When the point where the killing curse and disarming charm meet reach Voldemort's wand, souls start to pour out. Something very similar to that happened in The Deathly Hallows. After Voldemort and Harry have their flying fist fight, they crash land in the Courtyard. When they grab their wands and stand up, they have their final duel. When the two spells reach Voldemort again, Voldemort's wand is blasted out of his hand and grabbed by Harry. Why no souls? Well, there were. You just have to look closer. Because the souls didn't have Voldemort's wand as an exit, they used something else. Voldemort himself.
