Just as we experience the change of the seasons as each year progresses, marriage too has its seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. The seasons are not about how long a couple has been married, but focuses on the characteristics of that season:
The hopefulness of spring when new things are on the horizon, a time of excitement and anticipation.
The vitality of summer when life is bustling. Often fast-paced when goals and dreams are coming to fruition.
The transition of fall, often a time for reflection and recalibrating of life. A time to act before winter takes hold.
The barrenness of winter. Dreams have died, relationships are cold and struggling, often a difficult season to navigate.
