Looking at Israel’s story in Exodus, we see how distance distorts, fear reshapes perception, and hearts manufacture substitutes when relationship is replaced with religion. But God refuses to remain secondhand. In Exodus 34, He speaks for Himself — revealing His true character as compassionate, gracious, and faithful.
