In 2016, our next guest started a small gardening, clean-up and environmental awareness initiative that attracted the community of Eldorado Park to its daily greening activities. Research has shown that there are benefits to starting green initiatives in communities, particularly for marginalized groups. Many of the volunteers involved in the project say that the gardens are a source of healing. Whilst our next guest originally wanted to address the issue of food security, the garden has received funding to expand its work in environmental awareness and sustainable living as well
