Secret Tapes

You ever find yourself so shocked, so overwhelmed, so flabbergasted, that you lack the words to properly express yourself? Whether it's a minor inconvenience in your already busy day, or a situation outside of your control that permanently rocks your entire worldview, sometimes it's best just to take a moment and have yourself a think. Often times people can be too quick to act and say things they don't mean. That's no good. It's always better to air on the side of caution. "A man whose time is spent thinking is a man who is wise beyond his years." That was Sun Tzu, I think. Doesn't really matter. The point is sometimes everyone needs a moment to cool off; from a stressful day at work to a minor betrayal by a loved one, we could all benefit from a nice, long think.

You ever do something really embarrassing and breathe a sigh of relief when you realize you were alone and nobody else saw? But then you think "What if someone DID see?!" and freak out a little bit? Even though you know deep down most people wouldn't really care because it's none of their business? You say to yourself: "Well, I don't really care when someone makes a little mistake. So, the inverse is probably true and nobody cares about my tiny little gaffs!" But then you hear a voice from deep within, a voice you've known your whole life, say: "But you're different, dummy! What you did is so much worse, so much stupider, that everyone would have no choice but to laugh at your goofy ass?!" Do you ever do that?

...Yeah, me neither. I don't think like that. That hyper specific thing has never happened to me, actually.
