Creating a Workplace Mentoring Program

What does it take to sustain and nurture a workplace mentoring program and prepare for challenges that will come our way?

To create a program both potential mentors and mentees will benefit from, we need to put a twist on the creation process. Humans, being humans it's not simply a matter of placing person "A" with person "B". It's about building connections that matter.

And just as important, if a mentoring program is poorly handled there can be detrimental effects. Research from the Journal of Vocational Behavior has found that poor mentoring experiences can lead to lasting psychological effects. Yikes!
