There is a lot of confusion and misinformation about 'section 230' -- a provision in the Communications Decency Act of 1998 that President Trump wants revoked. Ironically, it doesn't suppress free speech, it promotes it and -- if it were revoked -- it could backfire to soon-to-be private citizen Donald Trump.
