Lee Spiller was an independent business owner when he first became aware of CCHR Texas. At that time CCHR Texas was working on getting legislation to protect the citizens of Texas from the abuses connected with electroshock treatment and Lee immediately jumped on board because he had observed the damage it caused in his best friend's mother. That was 16 years ago and he has been working with CCHR ever since, protecting people against abuses in the foster care system, the harm from restraints and other psychiatric abuses. This week's guest is CCHR Texas Director, Lee Spiller, who discusses the many ways he's helping to secure human rights in the field of mental health in Texas.
