Three malicious extensions were found on the VSCode Marketplace, downloaded 46,600 times before their removal. The extensions identified as harmful were ‘Theme Darcula dark’, ‘python-vscode’ and ‘prettiest java’ Each of these posed unique threats to unsuspecting users.
