Security Money
In the wake of several attacks - places of worship and other organizations, many of them charities, are fortifying their buildings. The federal government provides monies for this through a program under Public Safety. However, some of these same organizations/agencies have been audited by the Canadian Revenue Agency and found to be in violation. Communications within Public Safety, obtained by Global News, reveal that Public Safety was not aware, nor had a protocol to check whether agencies it was granting money to were legitimate.
