Having a Strong Conviction

I have shared with a lot of people that I used to be an introvert. To a degree I still am, but nothing like I used to be. That’s because of a developed conviction in my life.

When I first told my wife I wanted to be a preacher, the first question she asked me was, “You know you have to talk to people, right?”. Talking to people has been a challenge my entire career, until just a few years ago. I was introverted like crazy and that did not help me or the work. But I had a desire to be a preacher, I knew that is what I should be doing.

In preaching school, they would tell us, if we could do anything else, go do it. If we did not have a burning desire to do this, then we needed to do something else. I would say that is the way with life. If you cannot find something to be convicted about, you are never going to have the confidence needed to achieve it.

Building a conviction in your life is what is going to give you that confidence in your life.
