Creaking Boards, and seagull’s choir

A distant dream, burning desire

I taste the salt, upon my lips

Directions read, from an ancient script

These chains that bind my blistered hands

I dream of seeing solid land

If I had wings I’d fly away

Colour would fill my life of grey

To my left and to my right

Other prisoners have lost their fight

Heads hung low on broken soldiers

Stern commands from an evil controller

God I prey, you give me fight

To get me through, another night

The captain of this, devil’s vessel

Fight’s the waves With a fearless wrestle

The craft is hit with salt and spray

Will we live, to see another day

I whisper to the growing tide

See you on the other side

Our lives are in the captains hands

I pray to god he understands

We cannot die here out at sea

Survival here’s not guaranteed

A fearless leader with nothing to loose

In this overwhelming deluge

As water fills this leaky boat

The life it carries may no longer float
