In this epidoside we interviewed Anne Verhallen, Soil Management Specialist Horticulture at the Ontario Ministry of Food and Rural Affairs, and Ajay Nair, Professor of Horticulture at Iowa State University about soil dynamics during freeze events, and their potential effects on germinating seed and emerged vegetable plants, assessing freeze damage, and on maintaining transplants when they must be held due to poor planting conditions.
