It's Theo & Bel. We are back with episode 3. Today we are going through 7 self-care tips to help you get through lockdown!
Eat Real Foods - See where you can add some whole real foods into your daily food consumption. Also, see what processed foods you can remove or replace with a healthier alternative.
Get Moving - Get that body moving, it doesn’t matter what you do, just make sure you enjoy it.
Stay Connected - Make sure to still stay in touch with family and friends. Give them a call or jump on a video call so you can see each other.
Get Vitamin D - Expose your skin to sunlight. The more skin that the sunlight touches, the better.
Practice Sleep Hygiene - Keep a consistent bedtime and wake up time. Avoid screens before bed. Leave some time (at least 2 hours) between eating and going to bed. Try not to nap, and if you do have a short nap anytime before 4 pm. Avoid alcohol before sleeping and stop consuming caffeine by the afternoon.
Do some Mindfulness - Focus on conscious breathing. Do whatever you find helps you become mindful; puzzles, books, board games, gardening, listening to music etc. Focus on something that will help you stay calm and collected.
Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself - This is an incredibly challenging time for people so do what you can and focus on putting whatever positive elements into your life that will help you cope during the lockdown.
