Elijah is an old man by this time. He has experienced it all, been there, and bought the t-shirt (well, the animal skin coat, leather belt and long beard). A new king is in charge and in trouble. Instead of seeking God the King turns to a weak, useless idol. Unfortunately he would discover just how useless idolatry really is.
