Seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness has nothing to do with winning or losing.  Seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness has nothing to do with other people.  For seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness is an aspect of who you are.  Being someone who both seeks forgiveness and offers forgiveness is your identity.  Seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness isn't simply something that you do.
