Seek The Lord Concerning Your Life

Listen Later

Today’s Scripture:

‭‭Psalms 34:10 NIV‬

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

The Bible says that those who seek the Lord lack nothing good. It also tells us that we must seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. It makes sense then that we must seek God concerning our lives.

If we seek him, we will lack no good thing. And yet we are lacking, then he says to seek first the kingdom of God and all these things, and yet these things are missing. Could it be that we are not seeking the Lord the way we should or the way he requires? God is not slack concerning his promises; if he says something, he is going to do it. The Bible says he is not a man that he should lie, what he says will surely come to pass. Something is missing. What's missing is the seeking the Lord part.

How do you seek the Lord? Is it by praying once a week or just saying good morning to the Lord and asking him to protect you and your family today, and that's it? Or does it take more than that? The truth is that we are not seeking God with the right motives, posture, and mindset.

When we talk about seeking God concerning our lives, there are no days off. We cannot pray today, and for the rest of the week, God won't hear from us. If you're married and you only speak to your spouse once a week, sooner or later, your relationship dies, and the Marriage dissolves and ends in divorce.

God's a jealous God, and if we refuse to seek him for our lives, sooner or later, we will no longer be in a relationship with him because we did not stay consistent in our prayer time before him, in reading his word, and in meditating upon what his word says.

You cannot know me if you don't speak to me; you cannot know God if you don't read his word. That's how God speaks to us. Relationships are not one-sided. What do I mean, I must listen to my spouse as much as she listens to me. I'm afraid we come before God with our laundry list of what we want, never bothering to hear from God through his word about what he wants and what is required for us to receive from him what we desire.

Family, God's waiting on you to come before him and earnestly seek him without giving up, without fainting. He says, do not be weary in well doing for you shall reap if you faint not. God's rooting for you, and he is for you. Seek him like you never seek him before. He will respond to your cry and show you the way.
