On this day of JUBILEE, I thought this piece to be ideal to honor the numerous heroes that sacrificed their very lives on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in their struggle for CIVIL RIGHTS.
Numerous persons were beaten on that fateful day in order to attain, not only voting rights, but rights that should have been inherent to ALL human beings. 
I penned this piece on the day that civil rights icon John Lewis transitioned to his eternal resting place among the saints.
