Excelling in Christ

Seeking His Face

In this episode, I reflect on the difference between true spiritual joy and a Christianity reshaped into entertainment. I am encouraged when young people hunger for something deeper than screens, popularity, and the noise of the moment. That hunger can be a beautiful beginning, but it also needs to be guided by truth. Not every voice that sounds spiritual is leading people toward God.

I wrestle with the danger of confusing religious activity, excitement, or online energy with real discipleship. Jesus did not call me to be entertained; He called me to deny myself, take up my cross, and follow Him. That does not make Christianity joyless. It makes its joy deeper, steadier, and rooted in forgiveness, obedience, worship, and truth.

This episode is a reminder that false teachers can dress deception in attractive language, and that spiritual desire must return to God Himself. I do not want a religious experience that merely holds my attention while leaving my soul unchanged. I want to seek the Lord, listen to His Word, and worship in spirit and truth.
