Well last Sunday we kicked off with a message on Spiritual Leadership. But now what are we to do- How can we make the most out of that which is given to us by the Spiritual leader or leaders God has put before me you ask- There are many questions you can ask yourself as you begin to examine your desire to seek true spiritual growth. Why are you hear today- Do you know that in the world around us there are countless numbers of people who go to church every Sunday bow their heads in prayer sit in a pew until service is over, yet they are not growing spiritually why might this be- Well today in the world in which we live in it is very common for believers to assume that coming to church, praying during the service, and enduring the pastors message is all that is necessary to fulfill their obligations as a Christian. While these are important there is much more needed in order to begin to grow spiritually. So what is Spiritual growth- Spiritual growth is a process by which believers become more and more like Jesus Christ. Do you see evidence in your life of Spiritual growth- Well what is the first step toward spiritual growth, or what do we first need before we can begin spiritual growth- Well first you must accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. Admitting that He the one and only Son of God the father who being born of a virgin died on a cross was placed in a barrowed tomb and one the third day He arose and walked out and even today sits at the right hand of God the father ready to make intersession for all who believing call Him Christ the lord.
