What if being guarded is not always the same as being closed?
In this episode, I talk about the "golden armor" I've learned to wear — the part of me that helps me move through conversations, relationships, family expectations, and old friendships without giving every person full access to my inner world.
I explore the difference between a mask and a boundary: when armor gives me time to feel safe, and when it starts making me disappear. Through the image of armor as both something worn outside and a house I can return to inside, I keep coming back to a quieter question: does my protection still belong to me?
Key themes in this episode:
• Why being real does not mean giving everyone the same access to you
• How family "shoulds" can get inside and make you second-guess your own life
• The difference between protecting yourself and shrinking yourself
• Why one group of people does not have to hold every part of you
• How to stay open without forcing yourself to be fully available everywhere
This is a conversation for anyone who has ever felt quiet, careful, or hard to read — and wondered whether that meant they were cold, fake, or simply still deciding what they can give.

If this is something you've been carrying and you want to look at it with someone, I'm starting to take one-on-one coaching sessions now. You can follow See Self Awake on Facebook and send me a message there whenever it feels right.
See truly, live freely.
"I'll just finish this one thing." And then you look up and it's 1 a.m. again.
For the longest time I thought that kind of tired was just the price — part of working for yourself, part of building the life I actually want. Then I finally looked at the bill.
In this episode, we explore:
• The afternoon I read the same sentence three times and still couldn't tell you what it said
• Why staying up genuinely works — and why that's exactly what makes it so hard to put down
• The first bill: a dull head making decisions that cost way more than the day you saved
• The second bill your body's been quietly keeping — it doesn't start by shouting, it starts with a whisper
• The first hour after you wake up: an on-ramp, or a carpet bomb
• Why I couldn't let the nights go until I had something I actually wanted my own time for
The hours you win staying up, you just lose them right back the next day — slow, half-there.

💬 I've started coaching lately — just sitting with someone one-on-one while they take an honest look at what's going on. Not me handing you answers; maybe one knot loosening, a little more room to breathe. First conversation's on me, no pressure. If something here landed, schedule a discovery session with me.

You sit down to finally do the thing — and something in you pulls back. It's not even that it's hard. So what is it?
For me, procrastination never looked like procrastination. It looked like working really hard.
In this episode, we explore:
• How "getting ready" quietly becomes a place to hide
• The rule underneath it: I have to have it all handled before I'm allowed to show up
• Why the dread is always so much bigger than the actual thing
• How the endless polishing was never the work — it was what kept me from the work
• The quieter question that actually moves you: not "how do I force myself," but "what am I feeling here?"
You're allowed to show up unfinished. Not with every answer — just present, just honest about where you are.

You sit down to rest, and something in you goes "you should be doing something. You're letting people down." Quiet. Familiar. For the longest time you think it's just you. But what if most of the voices in your head were never yours to begin with?
In this episode, we explore:
• How a voice gets handed to you early — before you ever get to choose
• Why the "strong one / eldest one" role is so hard to put down
• The phone-lock story: how someone else's voice ends up sounding like your own
• Why we keep needing to prove ourselves — and what's underneath it
• The only question that's actually yours: not whose voice it was, but whose life it's going to be
You don't have to clear it all in one go. This week, just catch one voice — and ask whose it really is.
A friend invited me to morning tea — and it turned into a pitch for something I'd already decided wasn't for me. I felt that quiet pressure, like I was being steered somewhere I never said yes to. But the deeper I looked, the clearer it got: I wasn't being pushed. I just didn't want to own the choice.
In this episode, we explore:
• Why a "no" you never said out loud still reads as a "maybe"
• What "being pushed" actually feels like from the inside — a roller coaster, not a shove
• How "I had no choice" keeps your hands clean, and why that's the real trap
• Building a bypass instead of forcing the blocked spot open
• Why your value shows up when you're seen, not when you think alone
• What self-help really means — and why the seeing has to be yours
The one who tied the knot is the only one who can untie it. And the one who tied your knots is you.

What if the one habit you think is healthy—complaining to friends—is actually making your life worse? In this episode, we explore the hidden cost of venting, why emotional dumping disguises itself as healing, and what actually happens in your brain when you choose not to complain.
Complaining feels like relief in the moment. But each time you vent, you're strengthening the neural pathways of suffering, not releasing them. You think you're sharing the burden—but you're actually polluting the emotional space around you, burning out the people you care about.
Join us as we unpack the real mechanics of suffering, reveal the trap that keeps you dependent on others' validation, and discover a three-step practice that actually works to dissolve pain at its root.
This isn't about becoming cold or isolating yourself. It's about reclaiming the power that was always yours: the ability to process your own emotions, heal yourself, and become genuinely whole.
What if one of the deepest forms of freedom begins the moment you stop expecting love from others?
In this episode of See Self Awake, I explore the quiet pain of feeling unseen, unloved, or emotionally unmet — and the deeper expectations underneath that pain. Through reflection, stories, and simple inner work, we look at what happens when we stop asking the outside world to decide our worth and start returning that love and safety back to ourselves.
This is an episode about letting go of invisible contracts, releasing resentment, and learning how to become your own source of steadiness, compassion, and peace.
If you’ve ever felt hurt by someone’s distance, silence, or lack of care, this conversation may help you see that pain in a new way — and maybe, begin to loosen its grip.
In this episode, we explore:

In this opening episode, I share the heart behind the show — why I created it, what “see truly, live freely” means to me, and the kinds of conversations I hope to create here. This first episode is a gentle introduction to who I am, what this podcast stands for, and what you can expect as we grow this space together. Expect a mix of solo reflections and real conversations about everyday life, along with practical ways to create change from within. More than anything, I want this to be a space where we can slow down, reflect honestly, come back to ourselves, and explore life with more clarity, freedom, and compassion.
