Are segregated entry points to condo buildings discriminatory? The City of Vancouver has approved the rezoning of a residential complex in the West End (cnr Thurlow & Burnaby), which would see the entrance and lobby separated depending on whether you own a condo, or rent a social housing unit. Several social rights activists at last night’s City council meeting expressed their displeasure at the plan, claiming so-called ‘poor doors’ create a stigma that ‘my family is richer than yours’.
