Listen Later

¡Viva la Reina! After the tragic death of crossover superstar Selena Quintanilla, the family was bombarded with many media outlets thirsting to tell her story. They had to act fast and after coming together with writer-director Gregory Nava, the Quintanilla family created a masterpiece that feels like a living testament of grief, mourning, and appreciation for the vivacious life of the rising singer. Jennifer Lopez shines in her breakthrough role and transforms into Selena, to the point that she even lived with the family. The film started filming only a year after her death and you can feel the heart and soul of her family, her fans, and her legacy. Other bio-pics take note.
