Selena Quintanilla Perez revolutionized Tejano music & helped to bring this genre to mainstream American music.  Winner of Grammy, Tejano Music, & many more awards, Selena broke gender barriers & continues to have a lasting place in our hearts as The Queen of Tejano music.


Dr. Jane Cooke Wright pioneered the use of chemotherapy in cancer treatment.  Known for the creation of methotrexate, still a mainstay of cancer treatment today, she was the only female founder of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.  In her lifetime, she authored over 100 scientific papers, led international oncologic delegations, & received myriad awards for her contributions to the field of medicine.
