What does living your best life over 40 actually look like as a busy mom?
For me, I’m learning that it’s about so much more than how you look.
After attending my 25-year high school reunion, I found myself thinking differently about what it means to feel good, take care of myself, and live my best life in midlife. Yes, I was proud of the physical work I’ve put in through my workout routine, strength training, walking, healthy habits, and clean eating. But I also realized that the woman I want to become over 40 needs more than a strong physical body.
She also needs a strong mindset, emotional health, spiritual health, meaningful connection, stress release, and the ability to keep growing through every season of life.
And that’s what I want you to think about in this episode.
As a busy mom, life is going to continue to bring responsibilities, changes, challenges, and unexpected things. You may have goals for your health and self-care, but knowing what you want to do and actually doing it consistently are two different things.
Your routines and healthy habits have to fit the life you are actually living.
I’m sharing the vulnerable moment I had at my reunion, what it showed me about my own mindset and growth, and how the healthy habits I’ve consistently practiced over the years helped me show up differently.
Because living your best life over 40 isn't about waiting until life slows down.
It’s about making time for self-care in the middle of real life.
And sometimes that starts with one small healthy habit, one workout, a walk, more intentional clean eating, finding a way to release stress, or creating a routine that helps you follow through on the goals you keep saying are important to you.
If you’re a busy mom over 40 who knows what you need to do but struggles to make yourself consistent, this episode will help you think differently about what it means to feel good and take care of yourself in this season of life.
