Self-Control Only Through Him: The Way
Acts 24:5, 14-15, 25-27
Jesus is the only way to the Father and the only one who can guide our lives by providing His Holy Spirit, which gives us self-control. We may stray far from the truth, just like the Jews who referred to the Way as a sect led by Paul. They claimed he was causing division, but in reality, Paul was teaching everyone about the Messiah, who was prophesied long ago and has come to show us the way to the Father. Jesus is the source of all good things: redemption from sins, freedom, life, and even eternal life. No other leader or teacher has claimed to be the only way to the Father as He does in John 14:6.
If you feel distant from Him today, take a moment to pray a simple prayer from the heart. He will provide the self-control you need to overcome an addiction or turn away from a harmful way of living. He is there to heal you and draw you closer to Him. Don’t hesitate to pray, for He is waiting for you.
