One of the greatest things any parent can do to help raise a self-led child is to teach them how to make good logical decisions.  John Maxwell says, "Inability to make decisions is one of the principal reasons executives fail. Deficiency in decision-making ranks much higher than lack of specific knowledge or technical know-how as an indicator of leadership failure."

Parents, the answers regarding the decisions your child will make in the future are already inside them.  We just need to encourage & guide them. Parents, I encourage you to walk your child, pre-teen, or teen down the path of logical decision making and find the answer on their own. And they are more likely to follow through with the decisions they make rather than the decisions we hand to them on a silver platter.  Let them work it out now, with guidance, and you'll worry less about the decisions they will make in the future as adults.
