BIO
Hi, I'm Ruth Bermudez, The founder of Afrowarriors subscription box. For many years, I've dealt with on-and-off depression, low self-esteem, and little to no confidence. In early 2019, I surrendered to God. I just wanted to be alone, wanted to heal from past trauma, was tired of being in the same cycle, wanted to find my self-worth, to find my glow, and work on being the most unapologetic natural version of myself. The thing is I didn't quite know how or what to do to heal.
Since I've surrendered, I wrote a note apologizing to myself for mistreating her (me) and, most importantly, neglecting my soul for all these years. I cut my damaged hair, symbolizing me removing the damaged pieces I was holding on to in life. Then I planted a seed symbolizing my spiritual growth and Personal Development.
I started doing things on my own and asking myself questions, like " why am I so afraid to be with myself ?", " What are some of your triggers from the past ?" "Have you forgiven that person who hurt you?". From there, I began my self-worth/spiritual Journey.
I want to be able to share my story and experience and reach out to millions of women, who are healing from domestic violence, Absent/hateful parents, betrayal from friends/family, academic denial and want to find their self-worth, finding self-love, work on personal and/or spiritual growth. I started this company because healing doesn't have to be boring or unbearable. Make it fun getting to know yourself, and Remember, No matter where you are in your journey, know that healing is beautiful.
