Self-Publishing Your Book With A Pen Name with Paula Jean Ferri

Listen Later

Paula Jean Ferri is a pen name. It's easier to find than a name like Jessica Smith (her given name). Plus, Paula is the name of her Tourette syndrome. When Jessica was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in college, she wrote her senior research paper on how it affects communication. This became her first book, and she has published two more since. More than an author, she is creative. Throughout her life, Jessica has had a tendency to deep dive into things she wants to understand and develop, such as creativity. Creativity is in everything we do, in every choice we make. She has made multiple projects to help with creativity.

Jessica’s Tips:

  1. Get  it all out - Finish the book.
  2. Stop waiting for perfection.
  3. Don’t be afraid of what others say.
  4. Don’t worry about writing what others have. You’re unique.
  5. Be excited about it.
