I’m gonna say this once you can ask a man to respect you and then also ask him to feed you. You can’t continue to request someone to respect you, but at any chance for any amount of money you’re willing to disrespect yourself. If you want someone to respect you, you have to first respect yourself and then have your own shit. Often times I feel like my community keeps getting it wrong and begging to be taken care when we have all the tools to take care of our self.
