Self-Esteem
I always speak about knowing your worth and never settling. Self-esteem plays a major role in knowing your full worth and inability to settle for anything less than you know you deserve in life, self-regard and self-respect.
There are three types of Self-Esteem: Inflated self-esteem, low-self-esteem and high and/or healthy self-esteem. These ranges of self-esteem correlate with ego involvement, self-image and positivity bias.
In the word of Psychology, self-esteem is deemed a person’s all-embracing subjective sense of distinctive sense of personal worth or value.
The psyche influences self-esteem. Some influences that impactself-esteem include:
•Your inner thinking
•Disabilities
•Illness
•Age
•Your job and career choices
Research has also proven that racism and discrimination have major negative effects on self-esteem. Additionally, genetic factors that help shape a person's personality, character and behaviors play a vital role concerning self-esteem.
Ultimately, our experiences shape the basis all-inclusively in respect to self-esteem.
