If service to others is the rent we pay for our room her on Earth, then Colorado’s first black woman doctor could have afforded the finest rooms in the grandest houses on the planet. But it was in her exam room, in her home, in one of the poorest sections of Denver, CO that she cared for the needs of anyone and everyone in her community.
